Alessandro Fernan, the promise of Amazonian instrumental music

“The Arrival Of The Sun” is the project that totally marks Alessandro’s musical style, who likes classical music accompanied by electronic elements.

Musician Alessandro Fernan released, on February 15th, the music video for his new instrumental song, entitled “Strong Wind”. The artist from Amazonas is in the first steps in music as a professional, but the journey to reach this stage has been a long one, as he himself detailed in an interview.

“I really started in music at the age of 10 when I got my first musical instrument: a guitar. Before that, my only contact with music were the songs I listened to when I went to my uncle’s house and he put music on in the car, and it was always electronic music”, said Alessandro Fernan about the beginning of his career as a musician.

From the beginning it was noticeable, his ease in learning different instruments on the basis of insistence with few expert classes. And still very young he took advantage of the technology he had in his hands to experiment with different sounds.

“I would come home from class, go straight to the computer to work on the program to learn more and to make new sounds. As I listened to the songs I thought to myself “I too can make that sound, and I tried to copy it”, reported the artist about his creative process in adolescence.

Alessandro almost entered a Public University in the Music course, but some obstacles kept him away from this dream. But, at the age of 21, the musician released his first song, “Jornada”, with a striking classical instrumental style. In 2022, the artist started yet another journey to release a new song.

“I spent the year trying to release a song, but I was on hiatus due to not being able to finance my project. That was when I decided to produce my first project alone, the EP The Arrival Of The Sun, which has 4 tracks totally produced by me, from production, mixing and mastering”, said Alessandro Fernan about the hiatus and returns with the EP”.

“It’s like putting an orchestra together with a computer. The acoustic and the technological. The aim is to make sounds that awaken different emotions in the listener. The novelty that the style brings is the listener creating scenarios, stories, with the creativity of the mind with each song. This is the power of art, the contribution between author and listener in the creation of unique stories, emotions and feelings”, said Alessandro about the effect of the innovative style on listeners.

The Amazonian artist also likes musicians who carry innovation in their last name, such as Hans Zimmer (composer of soundtracks) and Olafur Arnulds, a 36-year-old music producer who follows the style of instrumental music in his projects.

And finally, Alessandro left a message to his fans about his new EP project “The Arrival Of The Sun”: “May my music touch people positively, making them feel good listening and being able to bring emotions to the surface, awakening the creativity, creating stories or reviving those that already existed. May music bring poetic freedom to build a connection between the listener and the composer”, concluded the artist.
