Paraná Pesquisas publishes the first survey for the city of Belém

The Instituto Paraná Pesquisas released this Tuesday (6) the first survey for the run for mayor of Belém, in Pará, in the municipal election next year. The survey points to a still undefined scenario for the re-election of the current mayor Edmilson Rodrigues (Psol), evaluated negatively by 68.8% of Belenenses.

In the first scenario calculated by the institute, Rodrigues has only 0.1% difference from the second place, Everaldo Eguchi (PL), known as Delegado Eguchi, within the margin of error of the survey. In the second, the current mayor is technically tied with Éder Mauro (PL), with a 3% difference behind the politician.

The survey was carried out between the 2nd and 5th of June with 734 voters from Belém, with a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points.

Scenario 2, with Éder Mauro:

• Éder Mauro (PL): 19.5%;
• Edmilson Rodrigues (Psol): 16.5%;
• Ursula Vidal (MDB): 15.4%;
• Cassio Andrade (PSB): 9.5%;
• José Priante (MDB): 7.9%;
• Thiago Araújo (Citizenship): 7.5%;
• Celso Sabino (União Brasil): 5.3%;
• None/blank/null: 13.2%;
• Does not know/did not answer: 5.2%.

Methodology

Paraná Pesquisas interviewed 734 voters in the municipality of Belém, between June 2nd and 5th, 2023. The margin of error is 3.7 percentage points, and the confidence interval is 95%. The survey is not registered with the TRE-PA (Regional Electoral Court of Pará). Electoral law requires registration only for polls published in the election year.
