The Minister of Integration and Regional Development, Waldez Goes, received, this week, parliamentarians and managers from the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Amapá, Bahia, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Pernambuco, in addition to representatives of indigenous peoples, to address federal actions in water security, territorial development and defense civil.
The first agenda of the day was with the state deputy Aldilene Souza (PDT/AP) and federal deputy Josenildo Abrantes (PDT/AP). The parliamentarians went to discuss a monitoring plan to prevent flooding in the municipalities of Laranjal do Jari and Vitória do Jari, in Amapá.
During the meeting, investments were also requested for basic sanitation in the state of Amapá, internet access for the municipality of Oiapoque, through the international integration agreement between French Guiana and Brazil, and construction of the binational bridge of Oiapoque, with access to French territory. . Due to the characteristic transversality of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s government, Minister Waldez Góes undertook to forward the demands to the responsible ministries.

In sequence, Waldez Goes received a visit from the director of the Agricultural Defense and Inspection Agency of the State of Amapá, Álvaro Renato Cavalcante da Silva, to address issues related to the Routes of National Integration Program in the state. The minister received the work plan for the Milk Route in the Lagos Region, in the municipality of Amapá.
“The intention is to improve packaging, shelf life, bring a name to the product and be able to place it on the market with food safety”, stated Silva. The project also includes an artisanal cheese factory. In addition to the Lakes Region Milk Route, the state has plans for fish and honey routes.
