Train operators criticize plan against Tarcísio strike – 05/04/2023 – Panel

More than 400 train operators signed a petition against the plan of the new president of the Metrô de SP, Julio Castiglioni, to train employees from other areas to replace them during strikes, revealed by the Panel.
They claim that the idea demonstrates a lack of respect for the category and neglect of the safety of the population, as the people who will operate the trains will not be sufficiently qualified to assume the responsibility of guiding the passengers.
“Instead of spending time and money on diversion of function, the subway should focus on negotiating with the category, as this would indeed avoid inconvenience to us and the entire population”, says the text.
The stoppage that took place at the end of March deeply irritated Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans).
