The Ministry of Education (MEC) offers, starting this Friday (19), 402,092 scholarships for the first edition of 2024 of the University for All Program (Prouni). Of this total, 304,638 are full scholarships and 97,454 partial scholarships (50%).
According to the MEC, the current edition is the one with the largest offer of scholarships since the program began in 2005.
Interested parties can consult via the Single Access to Higher Education portal. The website details vacancies by course, shift, institution and location. There are, in total, 15,482 courses from 1,028 institutions participating in the program.
The federative unit with the highest number of vacancies available is São Paulo. Of the 103,282 places offered in the state, 81,069 are for full scholarships and 22,213 are for partial scholarships, with a 50% discount.
Minas Gerais comes in second place – 39,640 vacancies – and then comes Paraná (35,572 scholarships), Rio Grande do Sul (27,297) and Bahia (21,905). The complete list of vacancies offered by federative units has been published and is available on the MEC website.
Prouni
Prouni scores can be used to apply for teaching scholarships at private institutions for undergraduate courses at private institutions. Selection processes take place twice a year and are aimed at students without a higher education diploma.
To compete for full ProUni scholarships, the student must demonstrate gross monthly family income – per person – of up to 1.5 minimum wages. For partial scholarships, the gross monthly family income must be up to three minimum wages per person. It is also necessary not to have completed the Enem essay at zero and to have obtained at least 450 points in the average of the test scores.
