Zé Felipe’s mother claims to have undergone therapy to control jealousy of her son’s girlfriends

After years of therapy, the journalist says she got rid of that feeling

Poliana Rocha, mother of singer Zé Felipe, and Leonardo’s wife admits that she was once a jealous mother-in-law, with Zé Felipe’s other past girlfriends. She claims that she worked through her jealousy in therapy and that was the only way she managed to cut the umbilical cord with her only child. Poliana and Leonardo have been married for 26 years and from that relationship José Felipe, 25 years old, was born.

The journalist says that when she met her current daughter-in-law, Virgínia Fonseca, she was already in the process of getting rid of that kind of feeling. “Now I confess that Leonardo still has a little jealousy (Virgínia)”, she delivers.

Zé and Virgínia have been married for two years and are the parents of Maria Alice, 2 years old, and Maria Flor, 8 months old. Poliana reports that her good relationship with her daughter-in-law is full of love and complicity, which is reflected in the exchange of affection she has with her granddaughters.

“We have a wonderful relationship and I know how far I can go. We respect each other a lot. Our relationship is based on friendship and complicity. It’s such a wonderful relationship that we communicate through our eyes. When I’m bad, she looks and already knows. When she’s feeling bad, I look, I know and I say: ‘do you want to be alone?’ She says yes and to me she does the same. We know each other a lot and respect each other above all.”

The singer’s mother has been in therapy for over 15 years and has tried to convince her husband to do it, but Leonardo resisted. “Zé Felipe and Virginia started to do it. I gave my suggestion, because I always thought it was important and very valid for everyone. But it seems that they stopped, I am even very sad about it, ”he laments.
