With a cover that exposes the artist in Speto’s graffiti line, reproducing work presented in 2020 in a painting stamped on the wall of a building on Avenida Senador Queirós in the city of São Paulo (SP), the album João Gilberto – Ao vivo no Sesc_1998 brings the audio of the 36 songs lined up in the concert script made by the singer at Sesc Vila Mariana (SP) in a mini-season that was from April 3 to 5, 1998. The disc recording reproduces the audio of the April 5 presentation. The first title in the Relicário series, created by Selo Sesc to release albums with records of historical concerts performed at Sesc São Paulo units, João Gilberto’s album will be released on April 5 only on the Sesc Digital platform. As of April 26th, the disc will be available in double CD format and in digital edition in traditional music applications. Under the artistic supervision of Bebel Gilberto, daughter of João, the recording of the show was remastered from the original record on DAT tape. Of the 36 songs on the show, only one was unreleased in João’s voice. This is the samba Rei sem corona (Herivelto Martins and Waldemar Ressureição), released on disc in 1945 in the voice of singer Francisco Alves (1898 – 1952). For this reason, this track will also be released on April 5th as a single simultaneously with the album edition.
