Women’s Day: Gift launches beer against patriarchy – 03/07/2023 – Full Glass

Led by founding partner Luiza Lugli Tolosa, Cervejaria Dádiva is once again promoting its March launch with an action focused on Women’s Day.

The label of the year is Fight the Power, a West Coast IPA with 6.3% alcohol content, with fruity aromas reminiscent of mango and watermelon, as the brand describes. The 473 ml can has a suggested retail price of BRL 34, on the ecommerce itself or in stores specializing in craft beers.

“Every day is challenging for us women. In our daily trenches, however, we find many people willing to fight injustices and change our world”, says Tolosa.

“And that’s how, always together, we’ve managed, and will achieve more and more, to fight what for years has been proposing to overthrow us: patriarchy. And there have been countless achievements so far, all of them results of our union”, continues the owner.

The Fight the Power label has space for the name of the woman who can be honored. Labels were produced with 52 different names, such as Márcia, Mariana, Fernanda, Beatriz, among others. But it is possible to customize the can at the time of purchase in ecommerce a specific name.

The launch marks what is already a tradition at the brewery in Várzea Paulista (São Paulo), which always uses the date to draw attention to struggles related to gender issues.

In 2021, the brewery launched New England IPA Nosso Silêncio Leave Marca, with which it recalled domestic violence against women, which grew during the pandemic.

Last year, 3/4 arrived with two cans, one larger and the other smaller, highlighting the wage difference between men and women, with them earning around 77% to perform the same function as them, according to IBGE data.

“But the look we want to bring this year is more tender than the one we brought in previous years, since this time we propose to strengthen the bonds that unite us, as well as a recognition of our achievements, those that have come and those that will still come “, completes Tolosa.
