Wizz Air offers vacancies to Brazilian pilots with a bonus of 4,000 euros – 02/22/2023 – Market

One of Europe’s low-cost airlines, Wizz Air, is expanding its horizons and hiring Brazilian pilots. The selection process is open.

Wizz Air was born in Hungary, with Indigo Partners as a key investor, one of the largest airline groups in the world that also controls Viva Aerobus, from Mexico, JetSmart in Chile and Frontier Airlines, in the USA.

Wizz’s operations have grown year after year and now encompass Europe and Asia, with subsidiaries in the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Malta. As part of the expansion, the airline is opening slots for pilots based in Cyprus, Poland and Abu Dhabi. The plan is to increase its fleet from the current 150 aircraft to more than 300 by 2030, which requires hiring more professionals.

For Brazilian pilots, it is an opportunity to work on the new Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, with a fixed flight schedule, where you work for six consecutive days and have four days off.

As it is a work contract with no deadline, it is possible to make a career in the company, which includes promotion to commander, instructor and coordinator.

Benefits include life insurance, health plan, travel benefit and a €4,000 (R$21,900) increase in salary for every thousand hours flown in command. It is a cumulative benefit to salary. As a result, the accumulated value, after five years, can exceed R$ 100,000 per month, considering that the professional flies as many hours as possible.

The company informed that the objective in Brazil is to hire pilots with previous experience, but the requirements are at the same level as Brazilian airlines, becoming a great opportunity to leave the country and start a career abroad.

If the candidate has European citizenship, he can work in one of the 14 European bases (outside the United Kingdom) of the company. If you only have a Brazilian passport, you will fly from Abu Dhabi, at the new branch.

There will be three days of the Open Day event, two in São Paulo and one in Rio de Janeiro. All applicants must bring an updated CV in English, a cover letter, copy of their passport, ANAC license extract including CMA and their Individual Flight Booklet, physical or virtual.

In the Open Days, pilots will be informed about company details, its network, fleet and future projections. Conditions for training, housing, work, wages and career progression will also be shared. There will be a space to ask questions about vacancies.

Candidates who are chosen will be called for the second phase of selection, which will take place in São Paulo in early March and will include several tests. Those who are approved will already be hired by the company.
