Manaus Carnival

The program includes artists from the bovine circuit and official items from Bois Caprichoso and Garantido

Manaus (AM) — Next Friday and Saturday (9th and 10th), Manaus will host another edition of Carnaboi and, this time, at the Studio 5 Convention Center, in the Industrial District. More than 30 attractions will take turns on the stage set up in the pavilion, with all the structure, scenography and technical equipment to open the bovine festival season in the capital. Free entrance.

Promoted by the State Government, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, Carnaboi is part of the set of actions of Carnival in the Forest 2024. It is more than 20 years of the party which, this year, takes place in the middle of the carnival period, at the end weekend after the Manaus samba school parades. The Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy, Marcos Apolo Muniz, reinforces the cultural calendar.

“We do work that goes beyond the samba avenue. We have Carnaboi. We are supporting dozens of block bands across the state, in addition to Carnaval do Povão, which will take place in the North zone. All this so that we can have the players having fun, with many professionals involved in each activity”,

says the secretary.

In this edition of Carnaboi, the shows start at 7pm. Each night, starting at 10pm, there will be a show starring the official items of the Caprichoso and Garantido oxen.

The official presenter of Boi Negro, Edmundo Oran, says that this is the fourteenth year to participate in the bovine festival in the capital and takes the opportunity to invite the fans.

“I want to call on the blue and white nation to show up en masse, sing, cheer with the best songs of the Parintins Festival, which of course are those of our Boi Bumbá Caprichoso, the two-time champion of the festival”,

said the artist.

The owner of the Garantido ox, João Paulo Faria, recognizes the importance of the event that represents Amazonian culture and folklore.

“I am very proud, as a Parintina native, a fan of Garantido, to celebrate the culture of my land, during Carnival time, through Carnaboi. It is an opportunity for us to promote new artists, and I am very grateful for the invitation, and I am very excited and want to invite everyone to participate on the 9th and 10th of February at Studio 5”, celebrates João Paulo.
