Windows 11 starts releasing updates this Tuesday; see what’s new and how to update

Microsoft announced the arrival of Copilot, an assistant similar to ChatGPT to perform actions using text and voice messages. The system also adopted artificial intelligence in programs such as Paint. The features are part of the update in version 22H2 of the Microsoft system. Check out the main changes in Windows 11 below. 🤖 Copilot: the assistant can be used to create text summaries, edit images, activate system resources, ask for music suggestions, among others; 🎨 Paint: gained Cocreator, which generates images from text descriptions, and features for removing image backgrounds and managing layered files, like in Photoshop; 🖼️ Photos: image manager gains image background blur and file search by image content; 🎬 Clipchamp: clip editor now has an AI feature that suggests scenes, edits and style based on available photos and videos; 🖥️ Screen capture: it became possible to extract text content from an image, as well as hide private information that could appear in a printout; 📄 Notepad: now automatically saves the files you created and keeps the tabs that were open the last time it was used; 🔎 Bing: gained support for the DALL-E 3 drawing robot and also became capable of providing answers based on your history – for example, if you ask the search engine to plan a trip, it will be able to suggest dates on which your team is playing in the destination city. Microsoft also reported that images created by Bing will have a type of invisible watermark with date and time information to indicate that they were generated with the help of artificial intelligence. How to update Windows 11 To receive the news, you need to check if the update is already available for you. To do this, search for “Windows Update” in the search box on the taskbar. Then click “Check for updates” and, if possible, continue to install the new version. Future update Windows 11 should receive a new update in early November, which will include Copilot in the Microsoft 365 package, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. The feature will be able to analyze files, emails, chats, among others, to help you create documents from scratch, plan work trips and clear your inbox faster, for example.
