WhatsApp will allow you to save temporary messages – 04/21/2023 – Tech

WhatsApp announced on Wednesday (20) the launch of the “Save in Conversation” feature, which will allow users to save messages from temporary conversations.
According to the company, the function will offer more flexibility to users, allowing them to save important content, such as addresses and audio files, without having to disable the temporary mode.
In this setting, submissions automatically disappear after 24 hours, seven days, or three months. Messages sent or received prior to activation are not affected.
The sender, however, will still have control over the messages —he can decide whether other participants in the conversation can save them or not. If someone decides to save a message and the sender doesn’t allow it, the message will be deleted for all participants.
In groups, administrators will be able to choose if only them or if all participants will be authorized to record messages.
The saved contents will be marked as Favorites, and the user will be able to see them, organized by conversation, in the “Saved Messages” folder. The feature will roll out globally in the coming weeks.
How to Enable Temporary Messages on WhatsApp
- Open a WhatsApp conversation;
- Click on the name of the contact;
- Click on “Temporary Messages”;
- Select how long messages remain: 24 hours, seven days or 90 days;
- Select the conversations in which you want to enable temporary messages;
