WhatsApp will allow users to use up to two accounts on a cell phone simultaneously, without the need to disconnect from one of them to switch between profiles.
The new feature was announced by Meta’s president, Mark Zuckerberg, this Thursday (19), and will be available to users of the Android operating system in the “coming weeks or months”, according to the company. There is no release date for IOS users.
Until then, to use a second account on the application, it was necessary to have two cell phones or to disconnect from one of the profiles with each new login attempt.
To set up the new functionality, you will need a second phone number and a SIM card. After that, users must access the settings tab and click on “add account”.
