What is Heineken Silver, which appears in the Champions League – 05/10/2023 – Full Glass
[ad_1]
Year in, year out, and one of Heineken’s main commercial bets is the partnership with the Champions League, the biggest championship between clubs in the world. Just as true as the Champions League anthem at the start of the match is the Dutch beer commercial at the start and halftime of the European tournament duels.
The partnership has lasted since 2005, but over the years, Heineken has changed the product it uses as its main highlight. After the traditional version and a few years with the 0.0 (zero alcohol), the ball of the time is the Heineken Silver, which has also appeared in some Formula 1 GPs (also in place of the 0.0).
In Champions matches, such as the Milan derby this Wednesday, between Milan and Inter, Silver appears on advertising signs around the stadiums.
Interestingly, Silver was born in the metaverse, but the virtual joke turned into a real one in 2022.
The brewery has invested in Silver to attract a young audience and, for that, bet on features such as lower alcohol content (4.0%, against 5% of the original). In keeping with the marketing campaign, the version is a bit more subtle and refreshing.
But it’s no use looking for Heineken Silver in the markets around here. The beer was first launched in 19 countries, especially in Europe, such as the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Greece, Italy and the United Kingdom, among others. In Brazil there is still no forecast for the launch of the beer.
