Vegan cafe in Curitiba offers coloring pages

Colored pencils and sheets with unique illustrations. With this simple and inexpensive action, Morings – a space that serves breakfast all day in the Batel neighborhood – invites customers to spend less time on screens and more connected to the moment. On the menu at the vegan café, customers can find dishes such as the scrambled tofu toast or the mushroom grits and cashew nut cream cheese and, on the sheets of paper, drawings made by nine tattoo artists from Curitiba. The illustrations have animal welfare as their main theme.

The drawings are available at the store for children and adults to take advantage of the time they are at the cafe for the activity. “Customers have really enjoyed it and we noticed that this makes them stay longer in the store to color and, with that, they also end up ordering more items from the menu”, explains Daniel Sandes, one of the establishment’s partners.

Mornings, which has been operating since 2019, has been consolidating itself as a support point for local entrepreneurs and suppliers. The location chooses local suppliers, encourages female entrepreneurship in its partnerships and adopts ecological initiatives, such as glass straws and edible cups. In addition, it supports social causes, promoting events such as micro-entrepreneurs and adoption fairs.

The space is open every day of the week from 8am to 7pm and serves breakfast items all day. Among the successes of the vegan cafe’s menu are the toasts – slices of naturally fermented bread served toasted with flavor options such as avocado with scrambled tofu; mushrooms with cream cheese or peanut butter and jelly. Other items served are tapioca, French bread on the plate, waffles, cakes, bowls and smoothies – all without ingredients of animal origin.
