I never had a record label, so what was spent was our work, our sweat”, recalls Popozuda, who said that the hit ‘Beijinho no Ombro’, from 2013, was even discredited by DJs. “When I presented the song to the DJs, they said it was too slow, that it wasn’t going to go anywhere”. According to the singer, the investment was worth it, she believed in the potential of the song, which, in her words, ‘became an anthem’. I’ll have to work, feed myself. If the money goes out and the money doesn’t come in, how do you do it? I couldn’t get it back,” revealed Popozuda.
