Manaus (AM) — Manaus City Hall will offer vaccination against Covid-19 at 74 points in the capital this week, from Monday to Friday, the 24th to the 28th, continuing the immunization campaign against the disease. The Municipal Health Secretariat (Semsa), responsible for running the campaign, asks users to check their vaccine card and update the missing dose, whether 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th.

According to the municipal undersecretary for Health Management, Djalma Coelho, people aged 12 and over can be served at any of the 74 vaccination points. Children aged 5 to 11 have 35 reference units, and babies aged 6 months to 4 years have 14 reference units. The public able to receive the bivalent can access the vaccine in 54 units.

“Our network continues to offer and encourage people to seek the vaccine against Covid-19, even those who have already taken the two initial doses, because booster doses are also safe and effective in protecting against the virus. Just go to the nearest address and present an identity document with a photo, CPF or SUS card and the vaccine card”,

explains Djalma.

The undersecretary informs that users can check the addresses of health units, as well as opening hours, public served and vaccines available, on the Semsa website (semsa.manaus.am.gov.br) and on the link bit.ly/localvacinacovid19 . Daily, vaccination points are also published on the secretariat’s social networks (@semsamanaus on Instagram and Semsa Manaus on Facebook).

Djalma informs that all users must receive at least three doses of the vaccine against Covid-19. This is because the initial schedule of Pfizer Baby, for children aged 6 months to 4 years, is three doses, and the public vaccinated with other immunizers must complete the initial vaccination schedule of two doses and receive a booster dose.

The fourth dose is released for the general public from 18 years of age, and for children aged 5 to 11 years and adolescents aged 12 to 17 years who have a high degree of immunosuppression. The fifth dose is released only for immunosuppressed adults.

The public eligible to receive the bivalent must have taken at least two doses, or a booster dose, four months ago or more. The released groups are seniors aged 60 or over, immunosuppressed, pregnant and puerperal women, indigenous people, quilombolas, riverside dwellers, residents and workers of long-term institutions, health workers, people with permanent disabilities and people with comorbidities.
