According to Twitter, the “Subscriptions” feature is for Internet users to support the content of creators they are fans of on the social network. Upon joining, the person receives an exclusive bonus and the producer earns an amount of money. Elon Musk’s private content can be subscribed for BRL 19.90 a month.

To earn remuneration for exclusive publications, you must be in the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, the European Union or the United Kingdom and meet the eligibility criteria. Subscription service is available worldwide for iOS, Android and web.

The newly released signal now appears in lilac color. When Twitter is being viewed on the desktop, the word “Subscriber” appears under the name of the user who wrote the comment on an account of someone he subscribes to. The change affected users who did not request or pay for the seal, as well as profiles of dead celebrities such as Paulo Gustavo, Marília Mendonça and Gal Costa. When clicking on the symbol, the platform displays a message stating that the accounts have been verified because they signed up for Twitter Blue and had their phone numbers checked, a statement contested by several users.

Elon Musk, who bought the company at the end of October for US$ 44 billion (R$ 222.5 billion), had promised to get rid of the blue mark that users got after verifying their identity and fulfilling certain conditions.
