With Ukraine’s victory in 2022, the final should be hosted in the country, but, due to the war, it will be in England. Ukraine, represented by the Kalush Orchestra, is the winner of Eurovision 2022 YARA NARDI/Reuters Tickets for the grand final of the Eurovision 2023 song contest in Liverpool, England, sold out in just over 30 minutes this Tuesday (7), organizers said. The UK is hosting the 67th edition in place of Ukraine, winner of the 2022 competition that was scrapped because of conflict in the country. The final will take place on the 13th of May. The European Broadcasting Union asked the United Kingdom, the 2022 runners-up, to host the festival. Tickets for the grand final ranged from £160 to £380 ($192 to $456), while prices for the two semi-finals ranged from £90 to £290. Around 3,000 tickets for a total of nine shows – six previews, two semi-finals and the grand final – will be made available to displaced Ukrainians for a fee of £20 per sale, the British government said last month.
