Azul Linhas Aéreas will start a new route connecting Campinas airport, in the interior of São Paulo, with Paris-Orly, the second largest in the European country. The company’s reservation system already offers the direct flight on the route from April 26th.
This will be the first time that Azul will operate the direct route between Brazil and France with its own planes. Previously, the company offered such a flight through a partnership with the French company Aigle Azur, now bankrupt.
According to the current schedule, the flight to Paris (AD-8700) departs from Campinas at 11 pm, six times a week, to arrive at the Orly at 3:30 pm local time the following day. On the way back, the flight (AD-8701) takes off from France at 10:15 pm to land in Campinas at 4:45 am the next day.
The flights are scheduled to be made with an Airbus A350, an aircraft capable of carrying up to 334 passengers, 301 in economy class and 33 in business class.

The route is in addition to other international destinations that Azul should start operating this semester. Soon, it will have a weekly flight to Curaçao, in the Caribbean, and three weekly flights to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, departing from Belo Horizonte. In the second half, the company intends to debut two flights to Orlando from the capital of Minas Gerais.
