Fred, from “BBB 23”, started his career in the world of sports journalism eight years ago, in 2015, when he decided to participate in a selection process to host the Desimpedidos channel on YouTube. But before that, 33 years ago, on April 25, 1989, Bruno Carneiro Nunes was born in São Paulo, son of Aurimar Carneiro and Dalso Nunes. Bruno who, in the not so distant future, would become Fred, who would become Fred Desimpedidos, such was his recognition in the professional environment.
Fred, or Bruno, grew up on the outskirts of São Paulo, in the Vila Santa Catarina neighborhood, where he lived with his parents and sister, Gabs. “I was screwed with money, very, very poor. I had a very simple upbringing and I only graduated in Journalism because of the FIES, I finished paying for my college two months ago”, revealed the influencer in an interview in 2021.

Dona Aurimar, Bruno’s mother, was a street vendor. Seu Delso, the father, was a metallurgist. And Bruno jumped from job to job trying to help around the house. Candy seller at the school door, tennis ball boy, insurance broker, bakery clerk, computer teacher, dog walker, designer, soap opera extra and even audience entertainer in an auditorium program. In the midst of all these occupations, two passions: entertainment and sports.
In all these jobs or “gigs”, as he says, Bruno recorded videos. When he was at the insurance company, he had a kind of “talk show” with his colleague and he would film absolutely everything he did: “I was kind of addicted. I would go to the market and film. At the insurance company, we would even make videos from the bathroom”. But the obsession with the sport was not far behind.
“Since he was a little boy he was very fixated on the ball. At the age of 2, his father would take him to play ball on the court. He didn’t have a car, so he would take a bicycle, put a sponge on the bicycle pole and adjust it to put the Bruno… Look how dramatic… But it was beautiful, huh? (laughs)”, says Aurimar.
He was so fixated on the ball that Bruno tried to be a professional player until he was 22: “I tried my whole life until I accepted that it wasn’t going to happen”. Hoping to fulfill two dreams in one, his and his father’s, the influencer participated in São Paulo club sieves. Without success, he saw in Journalism an opportunity to work with what he loved and, years later, because of a series for Desimpedidos, he participated, as a player, in the pre-season of Magnus, a professional futsal team from Sorocaba.
Bruno graduated from Universidade Paulista in 2013. He interned at radio stations and worked as a traffic reporter, earning R$3,000, when an opportunity arose on the Desimpedidos channel. Before, the vacancy belonged to the presenter Felipe Andreoli. He left the channel when he was hired by Globo and, then, the team opened a kind of selection process for fans.
Bruno stood out and got the job as a presenter, but the salary was lower than what he received where he was already. “I accepted because I thought I was going to take a step back to take fifty forward”, revealed the influencer. “My mother thought I had gone crazy, but when they called me, I was sure that job was going to change my life and the life of my family”, said Bruno.
And indeed it has changed. The influencer told in podcasts and programs that he participated that it took 6 months for his life to be transformed: “When I joined Desimpedidos, I had a negative R$ 600 in the bank. . I didn’t go to a restaurant… Afterwards, I even gained weight. These are things I value a lot”.
After the channel, even its name changed. He started to be called Fred because another presenter saw a similarity between Bruno and Fred, idol of Fluminense. In addition to being the name of the page where he worked, Desimpedidos became a kind of last name for the influencer.
The life of his sister, Gabs, was also impacted by Bruno’s success. She is a non-binary trans person, that is, she does not identify with either the male or the female gender and, three years ago, she received breast removal surgery from her older brother.
Unlike his sister and father, who are Corinthians fans, Bruno supports Palmeiras. Thanks to his work, the influencer closely followed several Verdão games and was able to meet and interview great idols, such as Cristiano Ronaldo. Bruno is such a fan of CR7 that he has an autograph of the striker tattooed on his rib.
With his professional life on the way, in 2020, because of the “BBB”, Bruno reconnected with Bianca Andrade, Boca Rosa. The two had hooked up a few times before the show, but had never dated. Upon seeing the influencer on reality, he fell in love with her. Bianca dated, but after she became single, she and Bruno started to have a relationship.
The two got married and had little Cris at the end of 2021. Months after the birth, Bianca and Bruno announced the end of their relationship as a couple. The former BBB and the resident of the most watched house in Brazil remain friends, as well as other ex-girlfriends of the influencer. Before Bianca, Bruno had two other publicly assumed relationships. He dated youtuber Jojoca, with whom he stayed until 2016 and, in 2018, he dated publicist Ruchelli Begnami.
