Instagram director Adam Mosseri announced the launch of a chronological feed on Threads and automatic translations of posts, following complaints from users. Resources begin to be available from this Tuesday (25).
A Sheet did not have access to the updates until the publication of this report.
Instagram launched the Twitter clone on July 5, in the wake of Elon Musk’s decisions that limited the activity of people who don’t pay for Twitter Blue —a social network subscription package available from R$42 per month.
Threads went live without basic Twitter features, such as the chronological feed option, post translation and search for publications or words — which is not yet available. In the new Instagram network, you can only search for accounts.
Integration with Instagram, from where it was possible to pull followers, verification badges and privacy options, made the new social network reach 100 million users in five days.
Threads’ engagement, however, began to show signs of a decline in its second week on the air, according to data from Sensor Tower and Similarweb.
The number of active users of the social network dropped 20% in the week ended on the 15th compared to last Saturday (8).
In addition, the time spent per person on the app has been cut in half, from 20 to 10 minutes, according to Sensor Tower.
Mark Zuckerberg said, on the other hand, that Meta, owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has not yet started to promote the dissemination of Threads on its other platforms.
