Teatro Amazonas receives award-winning dance show and version of Broadway musical

“Rio Voadores” emphasizes the importance of preserving the environment for the balance of the planet

Manaus (AM) – A new week with new attractions is scheduled to take place on the stage of Teatro Amazonas. The Corpo de Dança do Amazonas, one of the state’s artistic bodies, presents this Tuesday (21), at 8 pm, the show “Rio Voadores”, with free admission.

Through dance, this Tuesday’s attraction highlights the importance of preserving the environment as a crucial point for the balance of the planet. “Rios Voadores” is a show choreographed by Rosa Antuña and accumulates national awards, including the best soundtrack, created by Makely Ka, awarded by the São Paulo Association of Art Critics, in São Paulo.

“CDA’s work received national recognition and is currently considered one of the most important companies in Brazil. The Amazonian company’s shows find identity with the roots and culture of our state and, in addition to the technical quality of the dancers, a context that arouses interest throughout the country”,

reveals the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy, Marcos Apolo Muniz.

The programming at Teatro Amazonas continues during the week and, on Thursday (23), at 8 pm, the public will have the opportunity to check out the show “Tic, Tac, Visões do Tempo”, by Núcleo Criativo Circense.

The free classification attraction brings dance and circus activities in two hours of presentation. Ticket sales at the theater box office and on the website shopingressos.com.br.

Friday (24th) will be dedicated to Brazilian popular music. From 8pm onwards, the Amazonas Guitar Orchestra takes the stage with the concert “Ovam in Brazilian rhythms”. The show brings a repertoire of great composers from the country, which translate the diversity of genres and musical styles. Free entry and free ranking.

On Saturday (25th), at 8 pm, the premiere of “Escola do Rock – O musical”, by Casa de Artes Trilhares. The musical stands out for being a licensed and authorized production by the office of the original Broadway musical in the United States, watched by more than three million people worldwide.

The Amazon version has the scenic direction of Matheus Sabbá and Davila Holanda; musical direction by maestro Otávio Simões. The second session will be on Sunday (26), at 19h. Tickets on sale at the theater box office and at shopingressos.com.br.
