Manaus (AM) – With a diverse program in June, Teatro Amazonas presents, in an ‘arraiá’ atmosphere, the soirée “Teatro Amazonas na Roça”. The presentation takes place this Saturday (03/06), in the hall of the most beautiful concert hall in the city. With two presentations, at 2 pm and 4 pm, the soirée lasts 25 minutes.

In yet another year, the show is scripted and directed by Frank Brandão Júnior, a master’s student in Literature and Arts at the University of the State of Amazonas (UEA) and a researcher of folklore, popular culture and folkloric dances. According to Frank, the intention is to officially open the June festivities.

“The public can expect a beautiful show and the quadrilles are extremely prepared to live and celebrate the tradition that is perpetuated not only by them. In this case, they will be represented at Teatro Amazonas, but also giving importance to the appreciation of popular culture in general”, highlights the researcher.

The intervention has the support of the Liga das Quadrilhas Juninas do Amazonas (LIQUAJUAM) and with the participation of four juninas gangs from the capital: Barú Junina, Explosão Junina na Roça, Junina Fogueira Ardente and Juventude na Roça that will give life to the plot proposed for the show that marks the beginning of the typical celebrations of this time of year.

According to the head of the State Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy, Marcos Apolo Muniz, the program is a great opportunity for the public to have access to Teatro Amazonas and also learn a little more about popular culture through the parties. juninas, taking advantage of the best that this period has to offer.

“The cultural wealth that the June period brings, with its folk dances and festivities, is certainly one of the strong features of our identity. Teatro Amazonas is, therefore, closer to the popular culture of the Amazon by hosting this type of manifestation”, says the secretary.
