The show honors Zezinho in the month that completes 2 years of his departure

Manaus (AM) — The show “Luso Canta Zezinho Corrêa” features songs by the group Carrapicho, which were a success in the voice of Zezinho Corrêa, and which will be performed, this Sunday (5), at 7 pm, by Luso Neto, at Teatro Amazonas. The show honors Zezinho in the month that completes 2 years of his departure.

The presentation consists of presenting hits in the original versions of Carrapicho, with the special participation of the brilliant Carlinhos Bandeira, conductor of the band Carrapicho, in addition to Márcia Siqueira and the great new talents Raylla Araújo and Lorenzo Fortes.

The project was started at the end of 2020 and was born with the re-recording of Carrapicho’s hit “Fica Comigo”, in the rockn ‘roll version, performed by Amazonian singer Luso Neto. The unpublished version was made together with Zezinho Corrêa himself, in one of his last performances, in the show “Luso 20 Anos”.

Encouraged by Zezinho’s family, who watched the release of the song at the Teatro Amazonas with emotion, Luso created the project thinking about perpetuating the legacy left by him for the new generations. Therefore, the participation of Raylla Araújo and Lorenzo Fortes in this homage is of total importance due to the strong influence they exert with this new audience.

With this responsibility, Luso Neto proposes this tribute so that the work that transcended the Amazon and conquered the world is immortalized in everyone’s memory.

Tickets for the show cost R$30.00 (1st lot), valid for all sectors of the Theater. And they are being sold by shopingressos.com.br, or at the Teatro Amazonas box office and at the points of sale: Óticas Diniz at Shopping Manauara and Sumaúma.

Zezinho Corrêa

José Maria Nunes Corrêa, Zezinho Corrêa, born in the community of Imperatriz, in Carauari, became known nationally and internationally after the success “Tic Tic Tac”, in the 1990s, when he led the band Carrapicho.

Before dedicating himself to a singing career, Zezinho also took an actor training course in Rio de Janeiro, and studied acting and dancing. As an actor, he was part of the Sesc Experimental Theater Group, where he staged shows such as “Folias do Látex” and “Tem Piranha no Pirarucu”.

Zezinho also invested in a solo career. Among the highlights are his participation in the musical “Boi de Pano”, during the 2000 Amazonas Opera Festival; the recording of the solo CD at Teatro Amazonas in 2001 and the participation in the Christmas musical “Ceci e a Estrela”, in 2017.

In 2020, Zezinho starred in a campaign by the Government of Amazonas in honor of health professionals, who acted on the front lines of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, performing the song “Um Novo Tempo”, by Ivan Lins, on the stage of Teatro Amazonas .

On December 28, 2020, the singer participated in the online launch of the book “Eu Quero é Tic, Tic, Tac”, written by journalist and cultural producer Fabrício Nunes. Zezinho passed away at age 69, on February 6, 2021, a victim of Covid-19.
