With the aim of highlighting the natural beauty of the region in the municipality of Tartarugalzinho, and promoting sustainable tourism segments, with the implementation of actions focused on community-based ecotourism, the local City Hall organized the 1st Municipal Photography Journey during the week, including a award for the best records taken by professional and amateur photographers who registered for the event.
According to tourism specialist Nira Brito, a Sebrae consultant invited to the journey, community-based tourism is the type of tourism in which the community organizes and provides services for visitors. “In the search for reinvention and adaptation of sustainable actions, we are organizing the implementation of projects that can contribute to the sustainable use of our fauna and flora, aiming to encourage good practices and new productive solutions”, reinforces the specialist.
The renowned biologist and journalist Richard Rasmussen was invited to give the lecture “The Importance of Environmental Preservation”, in which he left those present with the message that public authorities will have two strategic roles to play so that Tartarugalzinho and its natural corners are discovered: publicity and access. To give the lecture “Photography for Beginners”, it was up to Amapá photographer Fabiano Menezes, who coordinated the action together with 15 other professionals in the field, with the aim of recording the incomparable natural beauty, and the importance of preserving the environment.
