Tarcísio releases R$400 million in ICMS credits – 03/20/2023 – Panel SA

The government of São Paulo will release R$ 400 million in accumulated ICMS credits to companies operating in the state. According to the Finance Department, the resources will be unlocked from April.

The ProAtivo program, from which the resources will come out, is intended for companies in any sector of economic activity, which are up to date with their ICMS payment and have accumulated credit available for use. The 6th round of the program opened this Monday (20th) and will receive orders until April 14th. This is the first under the management of Tarcísio de Freitas. In January, the government increased the amount of the previous round that had been announced in November 2022.

In order to present transfer requests, it is necessary to access the Sipet (Electronic Petition System), request the accumulated credit for this ProAtivo round and include the necessary information. Each company may receive a maximum of R$ 60 million.

The release rules were published in the Official State Gazette on Saturday (18).

Created at the end of 2021, ProAtivo will reach the end of this round with the distribution of BRL 2.1 billion in accumulated credit, according to Sefaz.
