Suframa launches the 2nd edition of the Sustainability Fair of the Industrial Pole of Manaus

The objective of the event is to show the importance of PIM, not only for the Amazon, but for the whole world.
Manaus (AM) – Representing the governor of Amazonas, Wilson Lima, the Secretary of State for Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation (Sedecti), Marco Villela, was present, this Monday (31), at the launch of the second edition of the Sustainability Fair of the Industrial Pole of Manaus (FesPIM), at the Superintendence of the Free Zone of Manaus (Suframa), in the Industrial District.
According to Villela, the objective of the event, which will take place on the 7th, 8th and 9th of November, in Brasilia, is to show the importance of the Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM), not only for the Amazon, but for the whole world, in addition to the Free Zone’s commitment to keep the “forest standing”.
“Suframa’s initiative to hold this fair in Brasília, to publicize the Free Zone, is an interesting initiative, because it changes the angle of vision. FesPIM will be a very successful event, which has the support of Governor Wilson Lima, who is an enthusiast of this matter”,
evaluated the secretary.
The superintendent of Suframa, Bosco Saraiva, highlighted that in five decades of existence, much has matured and changed at PIM, such as forest preservation, non-polluting industry, care for the environment and the culture of different professional levels of the population the city of Manaus, Rondônia, Roraima, Acre and Amapá; therefore, there is a positive expectation for FesPIM 2023.
“Under our supervision and the investments of PIM industries, this fair will take place in Brasilia. We are going to support this initiative so that there will be more than 300 factories there. We are very optimistic that FesPIM 2023 will be a success”,

Also present at the event were the president of the Institute for Strategic Socio-environmental Intelligence of the Amazon (Piatam), Alexandre Rivas; the Executive Secretary for Economic Development (Sedec), Gustavo Igrejas; the Deputy Executive Secretary for Institutional Relations (Seari), Tayana Rubim; in addition to Suframa’s assistant superintendent of operations, Belarmino Lins; state deputies Sinésio Campos and Mário César Filho; councilor Kennedy Marques, among other authorities.
