Specialists articulate new proposal for biosimilars – 01/05/2023 – Mônica Bergamo

Specialists in the area of vaccines and biopharmaceuticals intend to submit to Anvisa (Health Surveillance Agency) a document with proposals for the regulation of biosimilars in the country.
IDEAS
The current Brazilian standard dates from 2010. Last year, the agency began to receive materials for reviewing this regulation, which is about to be updated.

The document will be prepared during a workshop at the International Symposium on Immunobiologicals, the largest meeting in the sector in Latin America, organized by the Institute of Technology in Immunobiologicals, of Fiocruz (of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation).
TOGETHER
The event will take place from Tuesday (2) to Thursday (4), in Rio de Janeiro. Among the experts gathered to prepare the document will be representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Fiocruz.
BANQUET
The Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, and the Minister of Agrarian Development, Paulo Teixeira, attended the inauguration of the Cozinha Escola para Brilhar Dona Ilda, held in São Paulo, on Saturday (29). The project is led by the MST (Movement of Landless Rural Workers) and by Prerogativas. The group’s lawyer and coordinator, Marco Aurélio de Carvalho, and social movement leader João Paulo Rodrigues were there.
