Shein receives 200 tons of products through Remessa Conformo – 09/26/2023 – Panel SA

Shein claims to have received more than 200 tons of products in the first shipments following the rules of the Remessa Compliance program, which speeds up the entry of international products into Brazil and provides exemption from import tax for purchases of up to US$50 (around R$ 248).
With the certification received by the federal government, a large part of the Chinese retailer’s cargo must pass through Federal Revenue inspection posts in São Paulo and not in Curitiba (PR). Customs clearance tends to speed up the delivery of goods.
According to Shein, the first shipments were processed by the Post Office at Guarulhos airport, in São Paulo, between the 23rd and 25th of September.
Then, the products were taken to the International Post Office in Jaguaré, west of the capital of São Paulo, where customs control was carried out by the IRS.
In Conformal Remittance, in addition to the certification issued by the Federal Revenue, Shein also committed to subsidizing up to 100% of the value of ICMS that is levied on products purchased under US$50.
