Serasa renegotiates debts in São Paulo until Saturday – 03/09/2023 – Market

Defaulters can renegotiate their debts in person until this Saturday (11) at the Feirão Limpa Nome da Serasa, which has a tent set up in Largo da Batata, in the west zone of São Paulo. The service operates from 8am to 6pm, and discounts range up to 99% of the debt amount.

The State of São Paulo concentrates the largest absolute number of defaulters in the country, according to the company: 16.3 million people in January of this year, 1.3 million more than in the same month of 2018. 45% of the population is in debt.

After the closure of face-to-face services, debt negotiations will continue on the online platform. The fair is originally held in November.

Participating companies determine the amount of discounts. The Clean Name platform has 425 partners. In the city of São Paulo and in the ABC region alone, more than 47 million proposals are available, according to the company.

Those who renegotiate their debts have no restrictions on their financial history, according to Serasa’s fraud manager, Patrícia Camilo. “Companies are interested in receiving at least part of the debt and consider that certain amounts may not fit into the families’ budget.”

The discounts offered in the face-to-face model are the same available on the Feirão Nome Limpo platform. “It’s no use trying to negotiate. The values ​​are in the company’s system”, says Camilo.

It is possible to check if there are outstanding debts in the CPF on the Serasa Limpa Nome platform after registering the document, a password and other data to gain access.

The tab “Negative debts” shows if any company registered a debit in the consulted CPF. The same page indicates the discounts offered to pay it off.

It is also possible to consult and negotiate debts in person at the more than 11,000 Post Office branches throughout the country, which offer the same conditions upon payment of BRL 3.95.

According to the company, Brazil had 70.1 million people in debt in January 2023, a record number.

To prevent fraud, Serasa clarifies that it does not contact its customers through representatives outside its official channels.
