Senate approves nomination of Fabrício Galvão as general director of Dnit

The Senate plenary approved this Wednesday (5) the nomination of Fabrício de Oliveira Galvão for the position of general director of the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (Dnit). There were 47 votes in favor, 5 against and one abstention.
In addition to Galvão, the senators approved three other names that will compose the body’s board. Carlos Antonio Rocha de Barros, nominated for the role of executive director, obtained 46 votes in favor and 8 against.
José Eduardo Guidi was confirmed as Director of Railway Infrastructure with 50 votes in favor, 5 against and 2 abstentions; and Fabio Pessoa da Silva Nunes, who should assume the position of Director of Road Infrastructure, had 47 votes in favor, 4 against and 3 abstentions, reported Agência Senado.
Approvals will be communicated to the Presidency of the Republic. The four nominees had previously been submitted to a hearing at the Infrastructure Commission (CI) and approved by the collegiate. The nominations then went on to vote in plenary on an urgent basis.
