See list of agro businessmen going to China with Lula – 03/20/2023 – Market

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s trip to China will be accompanied by a delegation of 102 names from the business sector, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.

The list includes names of the production sectors of beef, poultry, pork, cellulose, cotton, inputs and others. In addition to Joesley and Wesley Batista, from JBS, the meatpacking industry will send executives from companies such as Minerva, Marfrig, BRF and Aurora.

From the cellulose sector, Suzano and Paper Excellence directors will go. The list also includes Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade Filho, from the Caoa group, which entered into a partnership with the Chinese automaker Chery. See below for the complete list.

Businessmen should board this Monday (20), on flights with close schedules. Travel and accommodation costs will be paid by the businessmen, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. The role of the portfolio and the government, according to advisers, is to facilitate meetings and business that executives have with Chinese people.

In addition to the agro executives, at least another 50 industrialists are going to China. The list includes companies such as Embraer, Vale and some banks. This group is also expected to go earlier this week.

Lula’s departure is scheduled for Friday (24) towards the Asian country. Next Tuesday (28), the president will hold a series of bilateral political meetings with the Chinese. On Wednesday (29), there will be an agenda with the participation of around 200 businessmen who are going to the country and Lula. The president will return to Brazil on Thursday (30).
