In an atmosphere of revelry, the theater hosts a Carnival Soirée, in addition to several attractions that are on display in the first half of February
The season of shows at Teatro Amazonas begins in February and, this year, welcoming Carnival, this Friday (03), at 4 pm, the theater hall hosts the “Carnival Soiree”. Visitors will get into the Momesca revelry mood with a presentation by the Special Group United Kingdom of Freedom Samba School, until 5:30 pm.
The initiative follows the proposal of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, to promote Teatro Amazonas as a cultural space that contemplates different genres and encourages the formation of new audiences.
The holder of the portfolio, Marcos Apolo Muniz, points out that the first “Carnival Soiree” took place in 2020 and, this year, it returns to the schedule, opening the month’s season of events.
“The Teatro Amazonas is a space that receives varied attractions, from classical music, classical ballet performances, jazz, opera, and, with the project, the greatest cultural symbol of the state, opens the doors to a carnival initiative”, he said.
Still this week, on Saturday (04/02), at 8 pm, Teatro Amazonas will host the “III Concerto Cine In Concert”, by Instituto Musical Vila da Barra. Lasting 1h30, the presentation brings a repertoire of great movie hits: Super Man, Avengers, Star Wars, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Titanic, among others. Admission is free, on a first-come, first-served basis. Free classification.
On Sunday (05), at 7 pm, Luso Neto, Lorenzo Fortes, Marcia Siqueira and Raylla Araújo present “Luso Canta Zezinho Correa”. The project, designed by Luso and launched in 2020, perpetuates the legacy of the singer known for several hits.
One of them, the song by the group Carrapicho, “Fica Comigo”, adapted to a rockn’roll version. The show has free classification and tickets are on sale at shopingressos.com.br or at the Teatro Amazonas box office.
Instrumental music comes on the scene on February 12th, at 11 am, at the “Meeting with Amazonas Band”. The attraction suggests a differentiated format of an open rehearsal by the Amazonas Band, followed by a chat with the audience.
The idea is to provide an informal meeting between the public, mainly music students, and members of the state’s artistic body. Entry is free and free ranking.
