Manaus (AM) – The acting governor, Roberto Cidade, visited the headquarters of Sine Amazonas on Monday (8), where he spoke with candidates who were there looking for a job and highlighted the work to expand vacancies for the job market in 2024 , already initiated by the Executive Secretariat for Labor and Entrepreneurship (Setemp).

Roberto Cidade remains in office until January 12th, due to Governor Wilson Lima’s trip to China, where he participates in an event with potential foreign investors for Amazonas, and Vice-Governor Tadeu de Souza’s vacation.

In 2023, Setemp recorded growth in services performed, in the period from January to December 2023, compared to the year 2022. With a total of 5,909 vacancies available in one year, the secretariat had an increase of 90%, in compared to the previous year, which announced 4,774 job vacancies.

The acting governor highlighted the work carried out by Sine Amazonas to support and guide the population into the job market.

“We know that the demand for jobs is great, but Governor Wilson Lima has always prioritized job creation and income generation, and that is what he has done over the years. Every day, Sine has demonstrated that in this way it has contributed greatly to reducing unemployment rates in Manaus and Amazonas”,

said Cidade, who also spoke with artisans who work at the Crafts Center located at the organization’s headquarters.

From January to December 2023, 1,410 people were hired by Sine partner companies. In the same period, more than 8,859 people were referred.

The director of Sine Amazonas, Samantha Chíxaro, emphasizes that in 2024, the goal is to double the number of vacancies throughout the state and expand service stations.

“In 2024, the objective is to grow in the market, with our services and enter our interior municipalities. We already have an outpost in Presidente Figueiredo, we are opening a post in Rio Preto da Eva, we are improving our post in Itacoatiara, we are opening a post in Parintins and in negotiations to open a post in Autazes and other municipalities ”,

said the director.

Qualification

The Secretariat of Labor and Entrepreneurship (Setemp) offered more than 12,930 places for qualification courses in partnership with educational institutions and the Amazonas Technological Education Center (Cetam), more than 137 qualification courses were offered and the most sought after were those of Basic Operational Training (TBO), and basic and advanced IT.

Craftsmanship

The Department of Crafts and Solidarity Economy (Daes), from January to October 2023, carried out around 2,860 services, in addition, the State’s artisans raised in 2023 more than R$ 5,186,944.00, in pieces sold, the highlight The biggest sales event was the 18th Craft and Solidarity Economy Exhibition, in Parintins, which raised R$ 969,959.00. And in the Solidarity Economy, through the partnership with the Amazonas State Development Agency (Afeam), more than R$643,900.00 thousand reais were released to entrepreneurs in Amazonas.
