RO and MT researchers study techniques to enhance forage and silage production

According to the researchers, the studies, in addition to being a more sustainable option for producers, are also a new model for understanding more efficient, sustainable and resilient agriculture. Scientific advances in grass, corn and sorghum The first research was published in the Journal of Experimental Agriculture International in 2023 and explained the fertilization of Marandu grass, one of the main forage grasses used in agriculture in Brazil. 🌱 According to researchers, there is a method to enhance the yield and quality of grass, pointing to more efficient and sustainable production: combining acidulated phosphates with phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms. The third study, published in Agronomy in 2024, researchers focused on discovering the effects of plant spacing and density when growing sorghum for silage production. 🌾 According to research, growing sorghum in denser conditions not only increased productivity, but also improved the quality of silage, making it possible to offer more nutritious food for livestock.
