The Federal Revenue Service releases from 10 am this Tuesday (24) the consultation of the residual batch of refund of the Individual Income Tax (IRPF) for the month of January 2023. According to the agency, the bank credit for 136,565 taxpayers will be held on January 31, in the total amount of R$ 368,017,854.27.

Of this total, R$ 199,291,762.86 will be allocated to taxpayers who have legal priority, with 3,069 elderly taxpayers over 80 years old, 20,624 taxpayers between 60 and 79 years old, 2,349 taxpayers with some physical or mental disability or serious illness and 6,568 taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching. A further 103,955 non-priority taxpayers were included.

To find out if the refund is available, the taxpayer must access the Revenue page on the internet, click on “My Income Tax” and then “Consult the Restitution”. The page presents guidelines and channels for providing the service, allowing a simplified consultation or a complete consultation of the status of the declaration. The Revenue also has an application for tablets and smartphones.

Refund payment is made to the bank account informed in the Income Tax Declaration, directly or by indication of a Pix key.
