The collection of the federal government recorded increases in April and May compared to the same period of the previous year and reached the highest levels of the series, starting in 1995, for each of the months, informed the Federal Revenue this Thursday (22) .
In April, collections recorded a real increase of 0.31% and totaled R$ 203.889 billion, the best result for the month. In May there was a real increase of 2.89%, to R$ 176.812 billion, also a series peak for the month.
Revenue released both data together on Thursday.
Revenues managed by the Federal Revenue increased by 5.22% in April and 3.54% in May, raising R$ 188.584 billion and R$ 171.428 billion respectively, the agency said.
Revenues managed by other bodies, in turn, showed a real drop of 36.29% in April, to R$ 15.305 billion. In May there was a decrease of 14.09%, reaching R$ 5.384 billion.
