The performance of the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, at the head of the portfolio significantly reduced the negative evaluation of the financial market in relation to the Lula government, according to Genial/Quaest research.

According to the survey, which heard 94 managers, economists, analysts and decision makers from the largest investment houses in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, the negative image of the government among the segment reached, this month, its lowest level: 44%. In March of this year, this index was 90%, and in May, 86%.

If in March 98% of respondents stated that the country’s economic policy was heading in the wrong direction, this time this perception was indicated by 53% of the people surveyed.

“This improvement in the government was driven by the work of the Minister of Finance. Haddad, who had a 10% positive assessment of his work in March, reached 65% in July”, said the director of Quaest, Felipe Nunes, in a publication on social networks. social.

Also according to the survey, 53% of respondents say they believe that the country’s economy will improve over the next 12 months, compared to 21% who claim to believe in a worsening —in March, this last portion was 78%.

Conducted between the 6th and 10th of July, the Genial/Quaest survey states, however, that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is still expressively rejected by the financial market, with 95% claiming to trust little or nothing in the agent. Regarding former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), this rejection is 82%.
