Public tenders will be launched on the 10th, says minister – 05/04/2023 – Market

The Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services, Esther Dweck, said this Tuesday (4) that the government will launch next Monday (10) the first block of public tenders with the approval of the federal administration.

Dweck explained that there is budget available for holding public tenders and that the priority will be bodies with a shortage of servers.

“Several areas are facing difficulties. It was a period of much dismantling, practically without any tenders,” said the minister in an interview with EBC (Empresa Brasileira de Comunicação) vehicles.

According to the minister, another three blocks of tenders should be announced by the end of the year, but there was no detail about the period or which bodies will be used.

readjustment for servers

In an interview with the program “A Voz do Brasil”, Dweck said that he expects the approval of a bill this month to put into effect the linear readjustment of 9% for federal employees.

The project was forwarded by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) to Congress last week and changes the authorization for granting the readjustment of civil servants provided for in the LOA (Annual Budget Law), in order to comply with a requirement of the Law of Budgetary Guidelines for 2023.

“As soon as it is approved, the government can forward the readjustment of the servers. Our goal is that we have a very quick approval in April and the readjustment can take effect from May”, explained the minister.

The government signed an agreement for the adjustment to federal employees on March 24. In addition, an increase of R$ 200 in food allowance was approved, which is already in effect after a decree signed by the Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services last week.

The cost of the measure for the public coffers will be R$ 11.2 billion, an amount already foreseen in the 2023 LOA. According to the government, personnel expenses were reorganized to eliminate the need to change the number even after negotiations the servers.
