Public sector has surplus of BRL 125.9 billion in 2022 and gross debt stands at 73.5% of GDP – 01/30/2023 – Market

The Brazilian consolidated public sector registered a primary deficit of BRL 11.813 billion in December, with the accumulated result for 2022 reaching a positive balance of BRL 125.994 billion, the Central Bank informed this Monday (30), equivalent to 1.28 % of GDP.
The country’s gross debt stood at 73.5% of GDP in December, while net debt stood at 57.5% of GDP.
