Public notice for participation in the 11th Amazonas Dance Festival is open from this Monday (07/24)

Manaus (AM) – The Amazon Agency for Cultural Development (AADC) started this Monday (24/07), registration in the public notice for the 11th Amazonas Dance Festival. The period runs from the 24th of July to the 9th of August. The objective of the initiative is to promote artistic and cultural activities in the State of Amazonas.

The Amazonas Dance Festival (FAD) is promoted by the Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy and the Amazon Agency for Cultural Development (AADC). The initiative seeks to bring more visibility to artists in the region.

Registration is free and intended for interested parties who meet the rules of the public notice, available for consultation on the AADC Portal (agenciacultural.org.br). Subscribers will be able to submit proposals for shows in different styles of dance, and can be individuals or legal entities.

Each of the selected presentations will receive an artistic fee, which varies according to the presentation time. To register, the person in charge must have complete documentation specified in the public notice, which includes a statement of authorship of the choreographic work, curriculum of all members and portfolio of the applicant.

In addition to financial support, those approved received logistical support in shows held at Teatro Amazonas, Teatro da Instalação, Largo de São Sebastião and in social centers in the state.

The partial result with the list of selected shows will be released between the 19th and 20th of August, on the Portal da Cultura do Amazonas (editais.cultura.am.gov.br). After the appeal phase, the final result will be released on August 23, on the same portal.

“This initiative is extremely relevant and leads us to value the art and artists of our state. Amazonas is extremely rich in the artistic field of dance and our goal is to give prestige to this category”,

declared the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy, Marcos Apolo Muniz.
