Project opens 105 vacancies for training young people in music, with a grant of up to R$ 850

Can you imagine receiving musical training, receiving financial support of up to R$ 850, and being able to join the Orquestra Sinfônica Jovem Fluminense, the Banda Sinfônica Juvenil Fluminense or the Youth Choir of Rio de Janeiro? O Brazilian Institute of Music and Education opened the registrations for those interested in 105 incentive scholarships to improve on a musical instrument or singing. To apply, you must be a child or young student in the public networks municipal, state or federal and also at universities.
Applications open until March 13 at this link. The evaluation, judged by a specialized commission, will be done through the analysis of videos, observing the following criteria: Tuning and sonority; Rhythmic precision; Musicality and musical phrasing; Fluency in execution; Body posture and positioning in relation to the instrument; Progress.
Those approved will receive a scholarship between R$ 200 and R$ 850. Scholarship students will participate, between March and December 2023, in rehearsals, concerts and presentations, musical training activities (Music Perception, Theory and Solfeggio) and instrument classes; among others.
In addition to the 105 vacancies, there will be formation of a reserve register.

44 vacancies will be offered for instrumentalists aged 10 to 19, to be distributed according to the following table:

40 vacancies will be offered for singers from 12 to 18 years old.
