The city of Manaus reaches more than half of the appointments to occupy the 2001 vacancies offered

The mayor of Manaus, David Almeida, signed yesterday (27), at the headquarters of the Municipal Health Secretariat (Semsa), the nomination of over 674 candidates approved in a public tender to work in the municipal health network. With the new nominations, which will still be published in the Official Gazette of the Municipality (DOM), the city hall reaches more than half of the nominations for occupying the 2001 vacancies offered.

The Chief Executive, who was accompanied by the Municipal Secretary of Health, Shádia Fraxe, and the undersecretaries Nagib Salem and Djalma Coelho, in addition to the Chief Secretary of the Civil House, Rafael Bertazzo, spoke about the nomination in a speech. “I am signing the nomination decrees for another 674 approved in the Semsa contest, who will be called in the next few days to take up their positions. This is the good news of the day,” he said.

The mayor informed that with the 674 nominations, the number of professionals nominated so far rises to 1,187. He also confirmed that two other nominations will be made regarding the 2021 notices, one in the second half of this year, with another 500 approved, and the other in the first half of 2024, when the remaining group of approximately 300 professionals will be called, completing appointments corresponding to the 2001 vacancies.

Shádia Fraxe explained that this schedule considers the total number of vacancies offered, however, vacancies not filled due to non-attendance, withdrawal or non-fulfillment of the required criteria for tenure will also be observed. “This means that we can enter the reserve register after the legal deadlines and according to the vacancies that remain open”, she stressed.

The secretary pointed out that the appointed professionals must accompany the DOM. “After the nomination decrees signed on Monday, the summons notices will be published in the next few days with all the guidelines for presentation and inauguration”, she said. According to her, the incorporation of new professionals will be an important gain for Primary Health Care services. “We believe that these new servers will help Semsa to make basic health even better. We are happy and optimistic about the people who will join our staff, ”she said.
