Prefecture says food allowance for non-permanent servers will be paid from July

Everyone now earns R$528, to be paid in the next month
Manaus City Hall informed that occupants of commissioned positions and those admitted by the Administrative Law Regime (RDA) and by the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) will receive food allowance through an individual card, starting in the month of July.
According to the municipality, servers will continue to receive directly from their current account, along with their monthly salaries.
The amount to be paid already includes the 9% readjustment announced by Mayor David Ameida. Everyone now earns R$528, to be paid in July, retroactive to June.
The holder of the Municipal Secretariat for Administration, Planning and Management (Semad), Ebenezer Bezerra, explains that the food allowance is a benefit granted to public servants in effective exercise in the activities of public positions or functions, with the purpose of subsidizing the expenses of meals carried out during the workday.
“This migration is more profitable for the treasury, since it removes tax incidences, because the amount paid ends up integrating, in the case of civil servants linked to the General Social Security Regime, the calculation basis of social contributions, incurring discounts for the insured quota, and therefore entails additional expenses for the municipality, which has the obligation to provide the employer quota, according to electoral legislation”, said the secretary.
