Manaus (AM) – The shore of the Negro river, on Ponta Negra beach, will receive, this Saturday (7/8), a unique performance by the Smoke Squadron, which will tear through the skies of the tourist complex from 4 pm, in the western part of the capital. The event marks the celebrations of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) for the tribute to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Brazilian Santos Dumont, with the support of the City of Manaus.
In all, at least ten municipal secretariats are supporting the event. The Air Demonstration Squadron (EDA), the squadron’s official name, should take an estimated audience of 3,000 people to Ponta Negra, who will follow the aerial acrobatics.
The celebrations around the patron saint of aviation and inventor of the 14-Bi plane also involve, in Manaus, military ceremonies, lectures in schools, exhibitions in malls and at Eduardo Gomes international airport, presentation of the FAB symphony orchestra at Teatro Amazonas, race , between others.
