Pix: Caixa starts charging fees for legal entities – 06/19/2023 – Market

Caixa reported that it will start charging fees on transfers via Pix as of July 19 for customers who are private legal entities. The bank claims that the fee will not apply to MEI (individual micro-entrepreneur) and public legal entity and that it does not charge Pix tariff from individuals and beneficiaries of social programs.
Still according to the bank, the collection has been authorized by the Central Bank since the end of 2020 and is already carried out by other financial institutions.

Pix transfer:
- Sending a Pix from a legal entity to an individual through manual entry of data, Pix key and payment initiator or sending from a legal entity to a legal entity through manual entry of data and Pix key
- 0.89% of the transaction value, with a minimum amount of BRL 1.00 and a maximum amount of BRL 8.50
Purchase pix:
- Receipt of Pix in transactions from individual to legal entity through insertion of bank details, payment initiator, Pix key and static QR Code or receipt of Pix in transactions from legal entity to legal entity through static QR Code and initiator of payment
- 0.89% of the transaction value, with a minimum amount of BRL 1.00 and a maximum amount of BRL 130.00
Pix Checkout:
- Receipt of Pix in transactions from individual to legal entity through dynamic QR Code or receipt of Pix in transactions from legal entity to legal entity through dynamic QR Code
- 1.20% of the transaction value, with a minimum amount of BRL 1.00 and a maximum amount of BRL 130.00
