Type “Barbie” into Google and see what happens to your screen. The color pink took over everything, on the eve of the long-awaited premiere of the movie “Barbie”, which hits theaters this Thursday (20) promising to be one of the great box office hits of 2023.

And the doll created in 1958 seems to be more popular than ever! The trend inspired by the Barbie universe — the Barbiecore — is everywhere: on clothes, in stores, on public transport and even the doll’s house has already been redesigned by leading Brazilian architects, with a little help from artificial intelligence.

The “pink wave” also invaded bars and restaurants around the world, with pink drinks and food, both sweet and savory. Hamburgers, chocolates, drinks and even pastas were given a pink tone with a lot of creativity. O Good Gourmet selected some establishments in Curitiba that embarked on the Barbiecore. Barbie Cake and Pink Hot Chocolate from Caffè Per Tutti

With pink sponge cake dough, stuffed with Bicho Pé Brigadeiro (made with strawberry-flavored Nesquik) and finished with buttercream and brigadeiro bicho de pé rolled up and decorated with glitter edible, the Barbie Cake is part of the Barbie Special that has been served at Caffè Per Tutti since the beginning of the week. To drink in combination, the house’s suggestion is the Pink Hot Chocolate, made with white chocolate, strawberry and strawberry-flavoured Nesquik, served with Chantilly. A slice of Barbie Cake costs R$22 and will only be available tomorrow (20), Friday (21) and Saturday (22). Pink Hot Chocolate is served in sizes P (R$8), M (R$16) and L (R$21).

Chocobomb Barbie Edition by Catherine Fine Teas

Chocobomb, by Catherine Fine Teas, won a special edition to celebrate the Barbie doll. The Chocobomb Barbie Edition (R$25) is a pink chocolate sphere filled with a blend of Pink Fruit and Herbal Tea — just add hot milk and the sphere ruptures, releasing flavor and aroma. To top it all off, the shop specializing in artisanal teas and infusions added glitter to the mix. Chocolate Curitidoce, by Cuore di Cacao Chocolateria

If Barbie had her own candy bar and it wasn’t made of plastic, it would look a lot like this one. Launched by Cuore di Cacao Chocolateria in 2019, the Curitidoce chocolate — created to celebrate the anniversary of the traditional tourist and gastronomic tour of Curitiba’s confectioneries, created by Ledinara Batista — returned to the catalog, in a short season, until the end of September. It is a white chocolate with raspberry, strawberries and sugar sprinkles, which arrives in pink without artificial dyes, but with raspberry and hibiscus powder. The bar has 50g and costs R$19.90.

BK Barbie combo from Burger King

To promote the debut of “Barbie”, the Brazilian Burger King launched, last week, the Pink Burger: a sandwich with brioche bread, cheddar, meat, bacon and a pink sauce with a smoked flavor. In addition to the sandwich with pink sauce, the Combo BK Barbie (R$36.90) also includes french fries and the Barbie Shake (from R$21.90, with donut) — milkshake with vanilla-flavored pasta, strawberry-flavored Nesquik and donut covered in pink and white chocolates. Croissant and Supreme by Barbie, by Noni Padaria

Noni Padaria, specialized in baking and viennoiserie, made a limited edition and hotly contested pink croissant, last Saturday, July 15th. With vanilla and red fruit filling, the 300 units of Croi da Barbie, available only for in-person purchases, sold out in less than three hours! This Thursday (20), the premiere of the film will be celebrated with Barbie’s Suprême — a kind of mix between croissant and donut. The filling will be the same — vanilla and red fruits — but this time, only 200 units (R$30) will be produced, available in person from 2 pm.

Barbie Frappe by GoCoffee

Collab A Warner Bros and Mattel exclusive to the Go Coffee chain of takeaways, Barbie’s Frappe is pink, flavored Tutti Frutti and syrup glitter. The drink is available for R$30 in all Go Coffee units in the country and in some stores it is possible to take pictures in a scenario that imitates the box where the doll is packaged.

Barbie World Menu by The Hamburgay

O Hamburgay’s menu is usually extravagant, and pink mayonnaise has never been new there. But for the release of the Barbie movie, the store created a complete experience inspired by the doll’s world.
