Petrobras shares sink with new gasoline cut

The state-owned company reduced by R$ 0.14 per liter the price sold in refineries
Petrobras shares operated detached from the competition this Friday (30), under the impact of the announcement of the new cut in gasoline prices, announced this morning. Around 4.35 pm, ordinary shares (ON, with voting rights at meetings) fell 4.90%, to R$ 33.18; (PN, with preference for dividends), 4.80%, at R$ 29.54.
Petrobras reduced by R$ 0.14 per liter the price of gasoline sold at refineries, it informed this Friday (30). With the reduction, the sale price of gasoline will increase to R$ 2.52 per liter.
The statement also informs that the price of cooking gas (LPG) will be reduced at distributors by 3.9% as of tomorrow, to R$ 2.43 per kilo.
As per the statement, “considering the mandatory blend of 73% A gasoline and 27% anhydrous ethanol for the composition of gasoline sold at service stations, Petrobras’ share in the consumer price will be, on average, R$ 1.84 for each liter sold at the pump ”.
The other fuels had no change in prices. The last gas reduction was on June 15th. The last cut in the cost of diesel took place on May 16th.
At the same time as the announcement of the reduction in values, shares of 3R rose 1.28%; from Prio, 2.73%. Both, free of direct interference from political decisions, freely followed the rise of 0.7% in the prices of barrels traded for August in London, at US$ 75 per barrel.
