At age 20, singer Lucas Mamede reaps the fruits of the work he has been doing on social media. Influenced by pop and MPB, he has published short videos singing and playing the guitar, drawing attention to his voice and accent.
On TikTok, he has 987 thousand followers and 12 million likes. But the achievements are already beyond the internet. Lucas gains the attention of names like Vitor Kley and Anavitória, being some of his inspirations.
Lucas was in his third year of high school when he recorded his first video, singing the song “Café”, by Vitão. He had the help of his brother, João Mamede, who recorded, captured the audio and edited the content.
Her debut album “Have You Heard of Love?” brings together a team of giant instrumentalists of Brazilian music, bringing together their first authorial compositions. Produced by Alê Siqueira, the disc also features an unpublished composition by Ana Caetano, in addition to the reinterpretation of a beautiful song by Paulinho Pedra Azul.
The show is part of the tour for the debut album by the Pernambuco singer-songwriter Lucas Mamede. With his striking accent, Lucas became a phenomenon on social networks, where his videos with reinterpretations of MPB hits tend to go viral.
